The tourist industry has soared in Vietnam since the U.S. began direct flights from San Francisco in 2004 for the first time since the end of the Vietnam War. The beach resort city of Nha Trang, located on the south central coast of Vietnam, has responded by opening bars, restaurants and hotels to accommodate the influx of tourists. Budget accommodations are plentiful.
